Taking a Break — Going Away (Virtually)
The last few days were at least a month long
A photograph I took when Lake Superior in the Keweenaw was unusually calm.
My mother was born here over 100 years ago.
My roots are here — in this quiet water, in the rocks, in the wildflowers, and the stillness that always finds its way back.
